The River Reef Aquarium features a curved glass front to provide a panoramic view of fish and a hidden life support system. The lid of the aquarium houses two high output T5 Power Compact Daylight Plus lamps, which provide artificial sunlight to help plants and corals to grow. There is also a blue LED in the lid to provide a night-time lighting effect.
The River Reef Aquarium is available in black or silver casing and in two sizes. The 48l tank is 40cm wide and the 94l tank is 50cm wide.
The unit uses Interpet’s three-stage filtration process to ensure clear water and reduce the need for filter maintenance. The first stage removes suspended particles by circulating the water through a multi-level intake system, filter balls, and open cell foam. In the second stage, toxic fish waste is removed using Biomedia. The third stage uses carbon chemical filter bags to remove remaining organic materials and toxic metals. Heating for tropical fish is provided by the Interpet Deltatherm heater and the tank is oxygenated by high-flow circulation pumps, these can turn over the aquarium volume 10 times an hour and are adjustable.
